Golden Joystick Awards 2021: RE Village Jadi Game of The Year

Hitekno.com - Game horor survival Resident Evil Village (RE Village) meraih banyak penghargaan di acara Golden Joystick Awards 2021. Setelah voting yang dilakukan mulai Oktober lalu, daftar pemenang Golden Joystick Awards 2021 akhirnya terungkap ke publik.

Para penggemar sebelumnya bisa melakukan voting melalui situs resmi Golden Joystick Awards untuk memilih game-game yang masuk ke dalam nominasi. Voting dilakukan pada Oktober hingga 9 November 2021 lalu. Golden Joystick Awards termasuk salah satu acara penghargaan game tertua yang pernah ada di industri.

Penghargaan awalnya berfokus pada game PC namun sekarang sudah meluas ke konsol hingga komunitas game. Acara pada tahun 2021 ini merupakan perayaan Golden Joystick Awards ke-39.

Resident Evil Village menjadi sorotan karena memperoleh empat penghargaan sekaligus. Salah satu pencapaian terbaik mereka adalah menyabet penghargaan sebagai Ultimate Game of the Year.

RE Village memenangkan empat kategori sekaligus yaitu Ultimate Game of The Year, Playstation Game of the Year, Best Audio, dan Best Performance.

Dilansir dari GamesRadar, jumlah penggemar yang sudah melakukan voting mencapai jutaan akun. Mereka turut memberikan dua kategori baru sebagai tambahan untuk memperingati 50 tahun video game.

Dua kategori yang ditambahkan yaitu Best Gaming Hardware of All Time dan Ultimate Game of All Time. Prestasi Resident Evil Village yang menyabet Ultimate Game of The Year sangat menarik karena tak menutup kemungkinan mereka dapat meraih penghargaan serupa di acara yang lain.

RE Village sebelum ini juga masuk dalam calon peraih penghargaan GOTY di The Game Awards 2021. Game survival horor ini bakal bersaing dengan Deathloop, It Takes Two, Metroit Dread, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, dan Psychonauts 2 di acara penghargaan tersebut.
